All early Morris Minors had carpet material which was known as Carvel made in Kiddeminister. The carpet had quite a strong bristly feel to it with a woven backing. It was hard wearing and lasted well. It was discontinued in the mid 1960 s and is no longer available at all. We are offering a modern nylon automotive carpet we have specially made in Yorkshire, that to all intent and purposes looks the same from about 6 feet away! From the diagram here you will see that the front mat is a one piece affair, the rear mats are separate with extra pieces of carpet sewn on so that that seat rails do not go through the carpet itself. In addition there is a rear tunnel piece, a pair of sill carpets and a pair of front wheel arch carpets.Facts—-This is the actual original layout of these carpet sets. The carpets were never bound around the edges.We also supply a floor stud and carpet fixing kit.The Brown carpet set we supply is not the same as the Maroon, Green and Black. Brown is not available so we offer a different tufted carpet.
