Originally all BMC carpets were made from a carpet material known as Carvel which was a short pile carpet with heavy woven backing. This was superseded in the mid-1960 s by what was then a modern carpet where the pile was flocked to a rubber composite backing and made by Dunlop. These materials are no longer available so many years ago we had manufactured a carpet material which looks very much like the original Carvel style. Recently we decided to make our carpets more attractive by actually moulding the gearbox and handbrake tunnel carpets so that they fit these tunnel areas properly. The kit contains 4 footwell carpets sill carpets tunnel pieces. Carpet clips and floor studs are also included with a set of pictorial fitting instructions.
